Highway To The Danger Zone

We let Cody watch a bit of Top Gun (the highly edited version on TV) and this is what he was doing when we sent him to bed.

Lanier Speedway

We took a trip to Lanier Speedway. It was a lot of fun to be at a local track and it was a treat for Cody to meet some of the drivers who were young kids themselves!!

Soccer in the rain

Not only are we playing baseball and taking karate, we are in our second season of Atlanta Fire Soccer. Cody played in the rain and he had a great time!

Football and Fun

Our little Friday Fellas had fun playing football in the muddy field at the playground. They also spent some time on the actual playground, but I think they enjoyed the football a little more!

Atlanta Motor Speedway

We surprised Cody with his very first trip to Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Kobalt Tools 500. The day was wonderful! He was on the Sprint stage for a contest to win a Jimmy Johnson autographed hat (he didn't win, but won a rubber chicken), met Miss Sprint Cup Paige and Miss Sprint Cup Amanda, and saw a great race! When we got home, he was featured on the Speed Channel!!

SNOW!

We had over 3 inches of snow on February 12th. It was AMAZING! Cooper was over at our house right when the snow started falling, so he and Cody were able to play in it for a little bit after helping me make Smores Bars. I took so many pictures and it is VERY hard to choose which ones to post, so here is a slide show.

Braves Around Town

February 8th, Bobby Cox and some of the Braves players came to our Publix. Little did I know we should have been in line at noon instead of when they started signing autographs. We didn't get to meet them, but Cody was able to see Bobby Cox and at least get a wave from him!

Building a race track

Cody and Daddy built a race track for his nascars. Here is a slide show of the progress! It was snowing outside, so they had to paint inside with a window open.
