Spending time with MiMi

MiMi has been staying with us as much as possible before Cody goes to school and has been helping me SO much getting my house organized and in order. Here are some things we've been up to while she is here.

WAR EAGLE, HEY!!!

Since we were so close, we headed over to Auburn after the birthday party. I took Cody for his first EVER Momma Goldberg's Deli sandwich and nachos. He loved it and said it was the best place I ever took him to eat (but he says that a lot...so take it for what it is worth...haha). After eating we drove around campus showing him the important things like Jordan-Hare, Beard-Eaves, Samford Stadium, and THE sign. I also found out that my sorority dorm is moving to bigger and better dorms over by the stadium called The Village (ran into a Phi Mu and her mom in Momma G's and got the scoop). He LOVED Auburn and I hope we can take him to a game this year! WAR EAGLE!

Little girl is ONE!

My cousin's little girl turned one this week. Last weekend they had a party for her at their house. We had a great time and she always makes every event (birthdays, Christmas, etc) beautiful, delicious and FUN! Cody had a great time trying to keep up with the older boys and did a pretty good job. He loves playing with his cousin and we hope to see them again soon!!!

But Mommy! 4 Year Olds have to have shots!!!

He had to "take 4 shots" on his well child visit. This was a LONG visit. Hearing screening, two vision screenings, finger pricks, 4 shots, and this teddy bear paper robe. These pictures were after he found out he was getting 4 shots. It was the LOUDEST scream he has ever screamed when he got the shots, but he was all better about 20 minutes later.

This is his attempt at smiling through the stress of the coming injections!

Big Boy NASCAR Room.....FINALLY!

A BIG thanks to MiMi for helping out! His room looks FANTASTIC now and he loves it.

NASCAR PJ's

Thanks Laney family! He LOOOVES these PJ's!

Visit with JT

Every year at around Cody's birthday, Ashley and JT come up for the weekend. As the boys are getting older, they have so much more in common. They played together very well and as you can see from the pictures below, they had to sleep in the same room. We couldn't believe they actually went to sleep! (pardon the look of Cody's room, we were about to re-do it....pictures are coming in the next post!)

NASCAR Party Pictures!

His 4th Birthday party was a BLAST! We had a jump, games, pizza and a NASCAR cake! I think you can see from the pictures fun was had by all! We were so blessed that many friends and family drove from out of town to be with Cody on his special day!

4th Birthday Pictures

Cody's actual birthday....

Cody's 4th birthday was on a Wednesday. We were able to celebrate it with our play date friends! It was bittersweet though, because it was Erin's last play date before moving to California. We miss her!!
We partied it up with the kiddos and then that night, he had his choice of what he wanted to eat and he chose Johnny's Pizza. After, back to the house for a couple of gifts from mommy and daddy. He got his backpack and lunchbox for school and a framed Jimmy Johnson NASCAR print for over his bed. His big present was to be delivered on Friday, but it never came. Over a week later, it finally showed up. A REAL steering wheel, pedals, and gear shifter to play with his NASCAR for the PS3 game his MiMi and PaPa gave him.

Pool Fun with friends!

Sunday evening was spent cooking out at the grill and swimming in the pool with great friends! Yes, Cody was the only boy but he didn't seem to mind at all!

Saving money is TOO much fun!

I've been clipping coupons now for 3 weeks. It has become a fun game to see how much I can get for under my budget! Here are ALL of the fun things I purchased today. The best part is I only have to pick up a few things next week such as fresh fruit and veggies and bottled water!

I spent $112.72 and SAVED $101.58!
