More Dry Pants!!

YAY! We have two days of dry pants! But here is the tricky part. He has figured out that he needs to go #2 before he gets out of bed while he still has on the pull up. Hmm...any ideas on how to get around this new hurdle? It is 11:00 am and he is still dry this morning and he even has gone on his own once. We're looking better than ever in this process and I'm FINALLY encouraged that my child will not be 18 years old in diapers as he graduates High School.
On a different note, thank you so much everyone for the sweet comments on my purse I made. I have a LOT of practicing to do to get it right but your thoughtful comments mean a lot and encourage me. I'm doing these for free right now while I am practicing, so if you are interested in getting one, please let me know!! Hopefully I'll have a post this afternoon after I get my hair cut. I'm getting BANGS again! Taking it back retro on ya!

Getting Crafty

Okay so I know it isn't perfect. I'm learning slowly how to sew on my own without patterns (they are too much trouble to figure out). I made this last night without a pattern. It is for a 2 year old so that is why the straps are so tiny. The purse itself is small and it even has a flat bottom and a liner! GO ME! I'm going to attempt one today for a 4 year old so I need to go a little bigger. The mom said she was going to get her initial put on the front so I think it will be precious!

On a different note, the potty thing is still going good! We had 2 accidents yesterday so he didn't get his certificate this morning. He asked where it was and was sad when I told him he would have to be dry all day today to get another certificate tomorrow, and so far so good! We are going out of town this weekend, so it will be interesting to see if he stays dry!!! YIPPEE!

Mill Creek Play Date

We played at Madi's house today. They watched TV for a little while.
Then it was time to make their own sandwiches! They flattened out their bread, cut shapes out and then put peanut butter and jelly on them. Cheetos made it a complete meal. (yes, I'm being sarcastic)
Then it was on to decorating their own cupcakes! Messy but FUN!
Working VERY hard on his cupcake...
And then gives me chocolate kisses!
Madi wanted to play dress up so she fixed Cody up as a businessman/firefighter.

Dry Big Boy Pants!!

So I told Cody that if he kept dry pants all day yesterday he would have a surprise this morning. He had waiting on him this certificate. He could trade in his certificate for a prize from the dollar store so what did he get?!?! LIZARDS. Yuck for mommy but he loves them. We are still dry today (I'm not counting his accident that I caused because I didn't check with him) so cross your fingers it is actually going to work this time!!!!!
He was proud of his certificate he had to put it on his wall.
After he gets 7 certificates, he can take them to Target and turn them in for Pat Pat Rocket. He has been talking about this for 3 weeks now and I guess he finally decided he wants it. Be praying for us to get DONE with diapers!!

Rainy Days and Play-Doh

While outside did this (and worse) all day long....
We played with PLAY-DOH! I am very strange about Play-Doh. I do NOT like for the colors to be mixed. Cody, on the other hand, being the 3 year old he is, wants to mix the colors all of the time. I finally gave in today and we got this radioactive looking mess. It didn't glow in person, but in the pictures, it looks like it was glow in the dark!
He was VERY happy I finally let him mix the colors and we had a good time!
On a side note...his big boy undies are STILL dry from this morning! YEE HAW!

Making Pizza

We decided to make pizza one night for dinner and Cody insisted that he was going to make it by himself.

He pretty much did! I just helped spread the toppings out a little better. He was VERY proud!

The Waggle

Cody has been taking golf lessons. He is doing really well and enjoying it. Mr. Peter has been VERY good working with him. Here are some pictures from his first lesson.

Well, he had his third lesson this past weekend and Mr. Peter was teaching him how to 'waggle the club' when addressing the golf ball. Cody saw that he could see himself on the TV where Mr. Peter was recording him, so being the ham that he is, he jumped out there and started waggling his booty! When Mr. Peter played it back, he did in slow motion. Here is his entire lesson. He waggles around the 4:08 minute mark. (There is no sound to the video)

The rookie and the pro

Cody's friend Cooper had never been to Chuck E Cheese before, so we all went the other day.
Cody LOVES to ride Scoop from Bob the Builder. He spends at least 10 tokens riding it over and over again.
And what a treat! Chuck E Cheese came out and met all of the kids that day! Cooper and Cody got to have their picture made with him.
I think we've made a Chuck E Cheese fan out of Cooper now. Sorry Lori!!!!

Wow...I'm a slacker

I'm just now getting back around to blogging. I'm sorry! So here's what you've missed....
We had our first dentist appointment! He did VERY good and he loved it! The entire office was decorated like a town with each area being a different 'store.' Cody had his teeth cleaned in the 'pet store' which had real frogs and iguanas.

They had TV's on the ceiling and he was able to watch Cars the movie while having his teeth cleaned. He also got to wear the cool shades to keep the light out of his eyes.

My little burrito!

After playing in the sprinkler (that didn't work anymore by the way) I wrapped little man up like a burrito and he LOVED it. He sat there for the longest time just relaxing and watching daddy try to fix the sprinkler (which he wasn't able to...hence why we now have the slip-n-slide).

Dirty toes!!

More fun with the Super Duper C's!

We had dinner at our new friend's house for the Fourth of July. The boys had a blast playing with all of the toys and in the back yard!

Then on Sunday, they came over to our house to cook hamburgers and play on the slip-n-slide. Those boys had a BLAST and they didn't want to end the fun that evening.

Fireworks!

We went to Sugar Hill to watch the fireworks on July 3rd. We had a great time!!!

Our friends Tigger and Pooh

Today was our standing Wednesday playdate with the Mill Creek Kids' Club. We were at the Stuckey's house and wow did the kids have a great time! They played with the sand and water table, blew bubbles, dressed up as Tigger and Pooh and had a wonderful lunch of Chicken Fillet sandwiches, carrot sticks, chips and juice. We are so glad God has blessed us with Mill Creek. It is helping our marriage, family and other relationships and I know He is working in every area of our life. And little man couldn't be happier with his new friends (mommy, too)!

Blowing bubbles on the porch.
Watch out...the milk thief is making his move!
I'm bouncy, flouncy, trouncey, flouncy, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun! Madi's turn in the Pooh costume.
Erin was Pooh, too!

It is a bird...no it is a plane....

No...it is SUPERBOY! Able to leap tall daddies in a single bound!

Mill Creek SUMMERFEST '08

Today was Summerfest! Our church hosted a HUGE Summer celebration for the community. It was a HUGE success. By our accounts, there were about 400 people that came in and out all day long, and many of them said they would see us next week! How exciting for a new church!! Everyone did a great job putting this together, and the kids had the most fun of all!

Enjoying the slide. It seemed to be the favorite of the kids.
My attempt to get a picture of him on the slide. This is the best we could do.
Little man's two girlfriends! We love these girls!!
Having fun on the slide!!
Some of the wonderful women who made this all happen! I'm so lucky to have yall in my life now!!!!

We can't wait until Summerfest 2009! (I know what you are thinking...don't rush it!) Okay, so I can't wait until next Sunday to see all of the hard work pay off! Come visit us at Mill Creek!
