What does your child sleep with?

So Courtney posted this question on her blog. She wanted to know what does your child sleep with. Well, here is your answer! This is Cody's room (for now). We're about to do an overhaul of his room and change it. Changing the color and making it a tasteful NASCAR theme. If you have any ideas on how to keep this looking decent but with a NASCAR theme, I would love to hear them! We're thinking maybe a Fathead Jimmy Johnson car on the wall behind his bed? ANYWAY.....
Here is the answer to Courtney's question. Cody sleeps with: Kitty, little blanket, green blanket, Chip, Dale, Star Wars Mickey, regular Mickey, Test Track Mickey AND Safari Mickey. There is barely any room for him!
So now I ask the question to you! What does YOUR child sleep with??

GIST - Weekends!

This weekend was a nice one for our little family. We worked in the yard Saturday. Dennis and Cody put pine straw down in the yard (well, Dennis put it out and Cody spread it out a little thinner).
It was HOT outside so Cody took multiple breaks with his water in the shade.

Sunday in our house has turned into NASCAR day. No, Dennis and I don't like NASCAR. Cody loves it! As soon as he gets up he starts asking what time the race comes on. Jimmy Johnson is his favorite driver and he tells us he is going to take his place driving the Lowe's car when he gets old enough. This is the scene all over the house during the day. He LOVES playing with his cars.

Disney Pictures...FINALLY

So...as a little recap...we took little man to Disney World as a surprise trip May 16-23rd. The video in the previous post says it all. He had a wonderful time. We stayed at All Star Movies Resort on Disney property and we did the dining plan. We had the BEST time with character breakfasts and sit down meals. Teppan Edo in Japan was MY favorite of all. It rained from Monday-Friday but we made the most of it and put on our ponchos and kept going the best we could. Still to this day he keeps telling me "I can't believe we actually went to Disney World." He rode almost everything he was tall enough to ride (except Tower of Terror) and he LOVED Splash Mountain and Test Track. The rest of the pictures are after the link below. Enjoy!!

Disney Reaction

I'll post pictures later, but I'll tempt you with this juicy tidbit...

This is when he realized we were ACTUALLY at Disney World and it wasn't just a sign by the road that we passed.

My GiST today

Grace in Small Things

I received a box from my little man after church which contained several little notes that explain "I love my mom because..." which they filled out in Kid's Church. His BEST answer was "She is sweet! LOTS of sweet." Can't beat that

He also picked a flower for me in the yard and daddy put down grass seed to fix the patches he tore up in our beautiful grass with his golf club. Overall, it was a good mother's day. I just missed my mom something AWFUL!

GIST

Today's GIST:
  • My little man cuddled with me in the bed this morning. NOTHING beats hugs and cuddles from my little guy.
  • We picked up my little man's best friend from her school today as a surprise!
  • We spent the day with very dear friends.
  • I fed a 3 week old and rocked a 1 year old to sleep. I love precious moments with precious little ones.
We are SO blessed! I thank God every day for leading us to Mill Creek Church. The amazing families and people we have come to know and love have touched us so much. Here are a couple of pictures from our play date today.

GIST = Grace In Small Things

Grace, is defined as the exercise of love, kindness, mercy, favor; disposition to benefit or serve another.

I found this on a friend's blog. This got me very excited! Finding Grace every day in small things!

Clicking the logo above will take you to the site to sign up if you would like to join the community. Simply put, you journal every day the small things that bring you Grace. I'm going to try every day to at least post what brought me Grace each day.

Easter

MiMi and PaPa came up for Easter and we had lunch at my Aunt's house in Norcross with Bree, Craig and the twins, my grandparents and of course Aunt Beck and Uncle Vinny (yes I have an uncle Vinny). MiMi and Cody put together an Easter bunny house and we colored eggs. That night the Easter bunny brought Cody a lot of great goodies in his Easter basket. Then off to Mill Creek Church, with lunch following. Cody had a great time with Maggie and Mason!!
Again there are too many good pictures to post them, so here is a link to the Picasa Album!

Mill Creek Easter Egg Hunt

There are just WAY too many wonderful pictures to include them all in this post. Click the link to go to the Picasa album. CAUTION: Extreme cuteness included in the link!

Catch up

I slacked off my blogging! Time to play some catch up!
Cody and Madi had dinner together in April. It was a huge family affair, complete with moms and dads and little sisters. We always enjoy our time with the Hester family and Cody LOVES being with Madi anytime and anywhere. We had dinner at Mellow Mushroom and then a stop by Cold Stone for yummy ice cream!!
