God must be having a good laugh tonight...

So just a quick recap of the night I have had. The picture is from last week, but I needed a little happy picture after the madness!!!!

First when we get home from being out of town, I'm preparing to go to our church's Christmas get together. I know I have to wash Dennis's work clothes before we leave so they can dry when we get home. I had just finished washing a load of towels and loaded up the washer with the white/khaki clothes and walked away.

While away, Cody was playing with Dennis and Cody had just come from the potty. Dennis SWORE he kept smelling poo. Then I started smelling it. We looked EVERYWHERE and couldn't find anything. Then Dennis saw it smashed into the floor. Only thing we could figure out is a little pebble was in his pants and fell out and he stepped on it. So I went to cleaning the floor. BOY did I clean the ENTIRE living room floor. Thank goodness we have wood floors.

When I went to put the mop away in the laundry room I heard it. The washer was not working. I had a washer FULL of soapy water and soapy wet clothes and the motor running but no spinning. Can't say I'm surprised though, they were the cheapest washer and dryer I could find when I was single and they are now 6 years old. The dryer has been having drying issues for a while. So I have to drain the washer of the water and ring out all of the soapy clothes while my husband researches what washer and dryer we can buy TOMORROW. Merry Christmas to us I guess (secretly I'm excited, but BUMMED it has to happen now).

THEN my TMJ starts hurting again because of the tension so I lay on the heating pad. Cody is determined to show his daddy what he picked out for him for Christmas so I have to get up and make sure we wrap it really quickly before he spills the beans. He helped me cut the paper, tape it up and wrote his name on the package. When I finally get Cody to bed I finished my wrapping and now I'm finally relaxing a bit. I'm still waiting on those towels to finish drying so I can dry the soapy clothes a little so they don't mildew. Ho hum...tomorrow is a new day and I just praise God that we are all alive and healthy!!!
