Growing up in the Phenix City/Columbus area, everyone knows everyone in some way through someone. Through the years I had always seen this beautiful girl around town, especially in Peachtree Mall. But I always wondered...why was she in a wheelchair? Never did I have the guts to ask her but as always, someone I knew personally knew her personally. I found her name was Leslie and she had been in an accident when she was little. That was the extent of it. Every time and I mean EVERY TIME I saw this girl she was smiling. It blew my mind that she always had a ton of people surrounding her and she was always smiling even though she was restricted to the chair. As we got older, I was able to meet Leslie a couple of times and she has the most amazing and addictive personality.
A little while ago, I received an invitation to be her 'friend' on Facebook. I accepted it immediately and saw her AMAZING and beautiful family. Her faith in God is beautiful! Leslie has written a book you can find on her website www.lesliespeaks.com. She posted today a blog that Kimberly Kennedy wrote about her and I wanted to share.
One Of The Good Guys
I also want to share this video that is on Leslie's personal web page. She is proof that God is in control of everything! Thank you Leslie for your wonderful Faith!!!
