How to keep a pre-schooler busy on a rainy day....

Thanks to Miss Lindsey who is Cody's FABULOUS Kids' Church teacher, we had this wonderful idea today. Since he couldn't go outside and play in the sandbox, I created an indoor pasta box! I had some brown rice that I was throwing away (we didn't like how this brand cooked) I piled it in a bowl with the leftover elbow pasta I didn't use this weekend. He has been playing in this for at least an hour now and yes, there is a LOT on my floor. But what is the point of having hardwoods and a swivel sweeper if you don't allow a little mess now and then? (Yes, Gina, he is STILL wearing the 'man bracelet' and he refuses to take it off except to wash his hands and bathe. lol)
