It has been raining in Atlanta for a week now. At last report, we've had 18 INCHES of rain in 5 days. It is so bad, Gwinnett County schools were closed today due to roads flooding and buses couldn't get down roads! Now they are having mud slides in certain areas and more rain is on the way. Short stuff and I rode around town looking at the flooding here and we saw a couple of places. I didn't have my camera, but I was able to snap a picture with my cell phone. The pictures below are of the Suwanee Greenway. The walkway on a normal day is pictured below with the bridge in the far distance.
The next picture is what I took a little while ago. The water is rushing under the bridge like a river! I would like to get out with my camera and take more pictures, but short stuff is with me and I would be too worried watching him instead of taking pictures. If things still look like this tomorrow, I'll get out and take some pictures after I drop him off at school. Hopefully we won't have too much more rain!
