Cody and Davis..."Best Buds"

Cody and Davis had a GREAT time this Christmas playing together. Cody is finally interested in the same stuff Davis is and they had fun together. Cody was just looking at these pictures and said "Davis is one of my Best Buds." These pictures are from the day after Christmas where we went to Opelika so they would play for a while. Gotta love these boys!!

He's a REAL Power Ranger

Christmas!!!

Christmas day was BUSY BUSY BUSY like usual! We awoke to Santa leaving some wonderful gifts for Cody. Then we hit the road for Phenix City. First stop, MiMi's house for opening gifts there. Then off to Nana's house to open presents there and then to Granny's for lunch. Finally we ended the day at MeeMaw's house for dinner which was a breakfast spread! YUM! That night we went to the Whitten's house for Cody and Tatum to exchange presents and they played for a long time. The slideshow below is just a FRACTION of the pictures. Click on it to view the individual pictures. If you want to see them ALL, just email me and I'll send you the link!

Happy Birthday Jesus!

At our last playdate for the year, we had a Happy Birthday party for Jesus! They gathered around the cake and sang to their Savior and it was SO touching to see. I'm so thankful for our church and our playgroup. We have such a great time together and the children LOVE playing with each other.

Christmas Shopping at The Forum Norcross

We took MiMi shopping at The Forum in Norcross. It is a little outdoor shopping center that we just LOVE. Beautiful decorations, great stores and nice people. Cody wanted to take pictures while we were there so enjoy!

Trip to the Pink Pig!

Cody, MiMi and I went to the Macy's annual Pink Pig ride at Lennox. He LOVES the simple little ride and this year he wanted MiMi to ride with him. He had a fun time on the little train and we had to stop in the gift shop afterwards so he could pick up his ornament for the tree and a cookie. This was the second year on The Pig and he is already talking about going again next year.

I'm in LOOOOOVE!

We are SO excited! Our new washer and dryer were delivered this morning and who knew I would be this excited about appliances! Cody was even excited about them and had to have his picture taken with them. I've already started washing clothes and I have a feeling I will be doing this all day long! HAHA

God must be having a good laugh tonight...

So just a quick recap of the night I have had. The picture is from last week, but I needed a little happy picture after the madness!!!!

First when we get home from being out of town, I'm preparing to go to our church's Christmas get together. I know I have to wash Dennis's work clothes before we leave so they can dry when we get home. I had just finished washing a load of towels and loaded up the washer with the white/khaki clothes and walked away.

While away, Cody was playing with Dennis and Cody had just come from the potty. Dennis SWORE he kept smelling poo. Then I started smelling it. We looked EVERYWHERE and couldn't find anything. Then Dennis saw it smashed into the floor. Only thing we could figure out is a little pebble was in his pants and fell out and he stepped on it. So I went to cleaning the floor. BOY did I clean the ENTIRE living room floor. Thank goodness we have wood floors.

When I went to put the mop away in the laundry room I heard it. The washer was not working. I had a washer FULL of soapy water and soapy wet clothes and the motor running but no spinning. Can't say I'm surprised though, they were the cheapest washer and dryer I could find when I was single and they are now 6 years old. The dryer has been having drying issues for a while. So I have to drain the washer of the water and ring out all of the soapy clothes while my husband researches what washer and dryer we can buy TOMORROW. Merry Christmas to us I guess (secretly I'm excited, but BUMMED it has to happen now).

THEN my TMJ starts hurting again because of the tension so I lay on the heating pad. Cody is determined to show his daddy what he picked out for him for Christmas so I have to get up and make sure we wrap it really quickly before he spills the beans. He helped me cut the paper, tape it up and wrote his name on the package. When I finally get Cody to bed I finished my wrapping and now I'm finally relaxing a bit. I'm still waiting on those towels to finish drying so I can dry the soapy clothes a little so they don't mildew. Ho hum...tomorrow is a new day and I just praise God that we are all alive and healthy!!!

More pictures from the play!

Make sure you click on the slide show to see all the pictures individually!!

Mill Creek AG Preschool Christmas Play

Cody was in his Christmas play called "The Best Bedtime Story Ever." The kids were getting ready for bed and wanted one more story. Miss Lauren told them the story of Jesus's birth and they sang 5 songs. It was SO cute everyone did such a great job. We are so very lucky to be in a wonderful church with such wonderful friends! It means the world to me that Cody is more interested this Christmas in baby Jesus than Santa (who he seems to be a little nervous around). Make sure you click on the pictures to see them larger!

You better watch out....You better not cry....

My little ham!

Craft time!

Cody told me yesterday that he wanted to make a snowman. So we pulled out the paper and got busy! He cut out the snowman pieces and did all of the coloring and glued it down. I made the bow tie and the outline of Rudolph and he did the coloring. Then I cut out the tree and he went to town decorating it and then glued it. I'm not sure if you can tell from the pictures, but he wrote his name on the snowman by himself (you have to really concentrate to realize it says C-O-D-Y but he did a good job)!!

O Christmas Tree and Craft

We had our playdate today and made this adorable reindeer out of a glove! They were so much fun! If you want the instructions...see here! http://www.freekidscrafts.com/reindeer_garden_glove-e141.html
The rest of the pictures are from around the house and our decorations. We hope everyone is having a very merry Christmas!!

Cody helped me put the Nativity together this year and was VERY interested in all of the characters. He sat there for at least 10 minutes looking at it.

Decorating!

Little man has been sick all weekend, but through the sickness, he decorated his little tree. We put his small ornaments on it and his favorite ones I let him pick from. MeeMaw also let him 'borrow' her Polar Express ornament so he placed that on top of his tree as well. Then we strung some popcorn and that is when his fever started coming back, so he passed out sleeping about that time. He is very proud of his tree! Jingle has been showing up in some odd places and he has had a wonderful time finding where he is hiding!
